What Photo Represents Something You're Not?

Finally:

What Photo Best Reflects Something You're Not?

I asked each person to submit a photo of something they are not, or a space where they're not welcome.

Discussion

For this section, I asked each person to submit a photo that describes either something they are not or a space they feel unwelcome. Each of these had a similar pattern: "here is the opposite of what symbolizes what I am". Connor highlighted going to parties, George highlighted being close-minded, and Anna highlighted bullying or excluding others. These were the reflections of what each considered their dominant traits that they highlighted in the symbolism question.

Did we learn anything new? Anna highlighted helping others, and followed that with that she is against excluding and bullying. George emphasized curiosity and perseverance then followed up by showing he is not close-minded. These answers are somewhat "two sides of the same coin". With these questions paired together, however, these results might have been anticipated. What could I have asked to have gotten different responses? What question would have forced the individuals to dig deeper? Would they have wound up at the same answer no matter what?

It seems that from the submissions, people define their dominant characteristics based on what they perceive they are in addition to what they are not
