What Photo Symbolizes Your Personality?

Discussion

After reading the responses of the first question, I realized that "reflecting themselves" through photos made each person think about themselves in terms of photos they already had. It seemed that each respondent explained themselves through a specific photo, instead of having a photo depict more about them. For example, Leslie talked about how she likes to push herself  beyond her comfort limits through a photo of herself traveling as opposed to finding a photo that best captures the idea of pushing oneself.

So for this section, I hoped that each person would answer what "symbolizes" them to try to have them break away from using their own photos that would tie them to specific events or experiences. As a result, each person submitted photos that reflect different traits that are more visual. The most clear might be Anna's, which shows someone helping another person up. If a reader saw this image connected with the question of what symbolizes you, it would be easy to infer that Anna likes helping others achieve. With this submission, we are able to take away the traits that each individual wanted to seek out in photo form. This gives readers a good idea of what each individual feels are their most dominant traits. We get a better insight into their main characteristics.

However, a limitation of this is that each individual chose about one or two characteristics to highlight. While we learn something about the individual, this is not close to finding an image that symbolizes the person as a whole. We do not get a sense of their shortcomings or other positive traits.
